Nonprofit Internship Program Summer 2025
The Nonprofit Internship Program (NPIP) is an eight-week long paid summer internship (beginning around May 31st for most) where students are matched with and work with nonprofit organizations from across North Carolina. Internships offer a range of exposure and skill-building opportunities in areas such as research, community outreach, public policy, communications, fundraising and social media. Interns receive a stipend of $5,760.

In addition to the internship, students will have the opportunity to connect with other interns in the program at the required opening and closing sessions (ONE day events), which will take place the week of May 20 and July 22 respectively.
PLEASE NOTE: A resume is required, a cover letter is not.
You are eligible to apply for this program if you meet ALL of the following criteria:
- You are a North Carolina native/resident at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States (the college/university can be in or outside of NC) AND
- You are a rising sophomore, junior, or senior. Note that current seniors set to graduate in the spring or summer are NOT eligible, nor are graduate students AND
- You are Pell grant-eligible in the academic year in which you apply for NPIP. You will be asked to submit a Student Aid Report screenshot to verify your eligibility for this requirement, please upload it under the "Links and Uploads" field. **Upload of that verification is required, more information is in the application.**
The application is due Monday, February 3, 2025 at 11:59 PM. No exceptions will be made.
